Roscoe, of Edgemere Farm

Roscoe, of Edgemere Farm

Meet Roscoe, the sweet and lovable senior dog of Edgemere Farm.

Roscoe was adopted as a puppy by his human, Heidi Woolever, from a shelter in western Pennsylvania in 2003. Before settling in Rockaway in 2015, Roscoe led an interesting and itinerant life: following Woolever first to Washington, DC, then Maine, and upstate New York. No stranger to farm life, Roscoe enjoyed several years living on a sheep farm in Catskill.

Even at the spry age of 13, the ¼ Cocker Spaniel, ¾ Beagle “has an energetic step,” according to Woolever. “He is lovable, gentle, and good with the kids who visit the farm.” Indeed, Roscoe was a bit tuckered out during his photo shoot, having supervised a group of visiting schoolchildren earlier that day.

According to local businessman David Selig, “Roscoe is truly wise. He is a calming influence on other dogs, adaptable to humans, and really sincere with his affection.”

On most days, Roscoe can be found lazing in the shade at the farm.
